Nestled between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the volcanic and tropical soil and microclimates of Colombia provide one of the highest quality growing environments in the world. The country also enjoys easy access to the US via sea, with ports on both the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean
Only commercial consignments of mango fruit may be imported, and all growers must be registered with the NPPO and follow operational work-plan requirements. In addition, the NPPO must monitor the system for inspection, packing, wrapping, transportation, and loading of the commodity and ensure that participating growers are following the program guidelines.
